Schwarz Digits now offers RISE with SAP on its own cloud platform STACKIT – according to its own statements, at standard market prices.
Schwarz Digits, the IT division of the Schwarz Group, has announced the market launch of “RISE with SAP on STACKIT” together with SAP. As a result, the cloud platform STACKIT operated by Schwarz Digits is available immediately as a fully listed hyperscaler infrastructure in SAP’s toolset. According to the company, STACKIT is thus the only European hyperscaler offering RISE with SAP.
Reluctance regarding cloud migration
Schwarz Digits refers to studies by the market research firm Gartner, according to which more than 30 percent of companies with ERP systems continue to operate their business-critical SAP data landscape entirely or partially in their own data centers. As reasons, the company cites, among other things, concerns regarding data protection, compliance, and dependence on US-dominated infrastructure. The new offering is aimed at companies wishing to migrate their SAP systems to a European-operated cloud.
As proof of the infrastructure’s resilience, Schwarz Digits cites its internal company usage: As the cloud provider for the Schwarz Group, STACKIT processes more than 1,000 IT services daily for group companies, including Lidl, Kaufland, PreZero, and Schwarz Produktion in addition to Schwarz Digits.
Pricing according to company statements
Schwarz Digits explains that European and sovereign cloud solutions are not automatically more expensive than offerings from US hyperscalers. According to the company, price parity applies across all certified infrastructure providers within the RISE with SAP program, allowing customers to benefit from European data protection standards without paying a financial surcharge.

SAP manager Dr. Sandra Maus, Chief Growth Officer at SAP, explained that the offering expands choices for customers in Germany and combines modern cloud ERP with requirements for data sovereignty and security. According to Schwarz Digits, RISE with SAP on STACKIT is commercially available immediately. Technical provisioning is scheduled to begin in November 2026.
