Hundreds of users reported issues with Google’s AI assistant Gemini around midday on Wednesday. Both the mobile app and web version appear to be affected.
Numerous users took to X to report that Google Gemini was unavailable or not functioning properly. By midday on June 10, more than 600 incident reports had already been logged on Downdetector, indicating a widespread service disruption.

For some users, the outage had an immediate impact.

Google Gemini Down: error code 1076
Instead of accessing the AI service, they were met with error code 1076. Further details about the cause of the disruption are not yet available. Google’s official social media channels have not issued a statement so far.
Users who rely on AI-powered assistance for time-sensitive tasks may need to temporarily switch to alternative services until the issue is resolved.
