Amazon has launched its first internet satellites into space and is thus starting to build a rival to Elon Musk’s Starlink system. In the first step, 27 satellites were launched into orbit.

The launch of Amazon’s first internet satellites, which are intended to compete with Elon Musk’s Starlink system, has been postponed due to bad weather.
Competition in space
E-commerce giant Amazon is about to make its long-awaited entry into the market for satellite-based internet services. The first 27 satellites of Project Kuiper are to be launched into space on April 9th with an Atlas V rocket and lay the foundation for a global internet network.
