HP is winding down its remote desktop product lines. End of sale for HP Anyware is set for May 2026, with support expiring at the end of 2029.
HP has announced the end of life for several of its remote desktop products. Affected are HP Anyware, the Trusted Zero Clients, and the Anyware Trust Center. The company cites a realignment of investment priorities as its reasoning, stating it wants to focus resources on product categories where HP can deliver the greatest customer value and drive long-term innovation.
The announcement is a significant blow to organizations that rely on HP Anyware’s PCoIP-based infrastructure. Sales of HP Anyware end as early as May 7, 2026, just weeks away. Renewal licenses will remain available until October 31, 2027, but only with a maximum term of one year.

Alternative: HP Z Remote Graphics Software
HP is pointing customers toward the HP Z Remote Graphics Software (RGS) as a replacement. RGS remains available and is tailored to workstation-centric use cases, and is being positioned as a migration path for certain HP Anyware customers.
For organizations that need to rethink their remote access infrastructure, time is running short. With the Anyware end of sale in May 2026 and full support expiring at the end of 2029, migration planning should begin promptly, whether toward HP’s own RGS or third-party alternatives such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or AWS WorkSpaces.
